The Trotec machine is not the cheapest laser on the market. It's not the fastest, not the most powerful. But for small engraving on mixed materials—which is exactly what we do—it's the right tool. The guy who sold it to me was honest about that. He could have told me it would cut 1/4" steel (it won't). Instead, he said: "We're great at this. For heavy cutting, talk to someone else."
